2AM Club – “Tell Her Hi”

2AM Club is one of those groups I’ll always love – they’re timeless to me. When many artists’ songs make you sick of them with every play after the tenth time, 2AM Club’s music doesn’t. I fall over and over in love with them and their sound each time I press play. I’m excited to present you with this soft tune which features some classic piano instrumentals. They actually recorded “Tell Her Hi” in an old church in Woodstock, New York. That adds to the allure of this beautifully tragic song, don’t you think?
What really gets me are the last lines Marc Griffin repeats as his soothing voice fades out: “Isn’t it pretty to think so? Maybe we could’ve been perfect. Isn’t it pretty to think so?” That question is my favorite line (which happens to be the final line) from one of my favorite novels, Ernest Hemingway’s The Sun Also Rises. 10 points for 2AM Club.
