Dillon Francis creates very funky tracks, sometimes bubbly other times wobblier than a riding a seesaw on pirate ship during a huge storm. I have two great tracks from Mr.Francis, first is his remix of Steve Aoki’s “Control Freak”. This song is a funky fresh remix that is relaxing enough to have on in the background but with a little bit of rage in it. It is a nice track, very enjoyable.

Now I have a bonus track for you. This is Dillon Francis & Doctor P – Music Is Dead. I have not been able to stop listening to this song, it is very enjoyable on many levels, the wobbles are on par. The vocals ask “What happened to music?” kind of humorous seeing as some people could claim that artist like Dillon Francis & Doctor P are responsible. Either way I think this is great music & a great track

Working with samples from 95 different songs, French prodigy Madeon has done it again with his new mix for Annie Mac Radio 1. This song is beautifully crafted and mixed, and is a true successor to his already wildly popular mash-up, Pop Culture. This kid is amazingly talented, and all of his tracks so far have proved that he has not even began to hit his peak. Look for his next single, Finale, out July 22nd.

I am always a fan of a solid remix, that being said this is a solid remix. Timo Juuti & Hector 87 put their own spin on The Ting Tings song “One By One”. As described on the re-mixers soundcloud the track is genre tagged as “Disco Wobblez”, at first glance you say to yourself, yeah disco wobblez, whatever that means. But once you start listening to the track it makes sense, it is disco wobblez. I hope the duo are pioneering this style of electronic music because it is damn good. There really is no other way to explain this song other than disco wobblez. Listen & Download

Diplo – Express Yourself EP

Diplo just dropped his new EP entitled “Express Yourself”, we were teased a few months back with the release of the namesake track “Express Yourself [ft. Nicky Da B]” and it was just a taste of what he had in store. The EP 6 songs long and each is progressively better than the previous, which is hard to believe seeing as each one is pretty legit. All of the tracks feature some sort of collaboration between artists ranging from Jungle artists (Elephant Man) to dubstep superstars (Datsik). The EP is a range of styles all blended together in wonderful harmony that creates pure Diploness [new word meaning mind-blowing]. Below are two of my favorite selections from the EP.

Passion Pit – I’ll Be Alright

Fans of Passion Pit’s first offering, Manners, will be happy to know that the Cambridge based electronic group is gearing up for a new release. I’ll Be Alright is the second song released from their upcoming LP Gossamer, coming to stores on July 23. It has that original and catchy Passion Pit sound, with chaotic beats and happy sounding vocals. The song’s chorus is sure to be stuck in your head all day.
